LIFE

Last weekend I went to my first & last LU football game :[. It was bittersweet.

I also got to go to the movies with a good friend of mine, Katrina.

As for clinical:
For my Critical Care clinicals I've been working on the Surgical ICU! The STICU was amazing! I loved the nurses I worked with. This was the best unit I have ever worked on. It was such a great experience I will start working on the Medical ICU tomorrow for the next couple of Fridays. I'm looking forward to tomorrow!

For my Christian Service I have been helping in the Nursing lab. The sophomores & juniors come in and do their "check offs" and the Seniors check them off. I love working in the lab. I can definately relate to all the nursing students (I've blogged about these checkoffs as a Sophomore/Junior) :]. It's been a neat experience getting to know the other classes studying nursing!

Birthday Weekend Home

A couple weekends ago I got to go home for the first time this semester!

I finally met the new puppy Tootie! I love her!

Mom & I got to get our toes done! I love getting my toes done with Mom! :] They painted an ECG on my toe in honor of my Critical Care class & clincal! haha

Dad, Britt, Stevie Jr. & I went to the pumpkin patch! I love fall so much! It is so beautiful!

For my birthday we went to dinner at Guapo's -a Mexican restaurant! It was so Yummy!
Thanks Dad & Mom for a great birthday weekend. I love you guys so much. Thank you for making my day SO special!

So glad I was able to be home! And looking forward to being home for fall break next weekend!!

Senior year is HERE!!

Senior year is HERE!

My LAST first week of school has finally ended!

This semester I am taking Nutrition, Critical Care Nursing, Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, and Preceptorship (internship). Classes have been great thus far. My Psych clinicals start in a week. Crit Care clinicals will begin the last half of the semester. As for Preceptorship, I am still waiting to hear which ICU I will be on! I'm really looking forward to clinicals this year since they will be a little bit different than the medical units I was on last year. Please keep me in your prayers :

to be diligent in my schoolwork

for the patients, families, and nurses I come into contact with

and that God would use me with for His glory

Blessed to have another healthy nephew. So glad that I was able to be there for his birth. I will miss going to his check ups, reading to him about Jesus and snuggling him. Grateful to spend time with him for the rest of summer. I sure will miss him during the school year!
